In the mid-2000s, cars and trucks each made up around 50 per cent of new personal vehicle sales. In 2017, around <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neb-one.gc.ca\/nrg\/ntgrtd\/mrkt\/snpsht\/2018\/09-03shrtrcksls-eng.html\">70 per cent of newly registered vehicles<\/a>\u00a0in Canada were trucks.
